250 4x4 GONE... What to buy?
#11
If everything works out all right I'll be heading to the dealer to test ride the machines. The 3 I'm most interested in are the 375, 500auto, and the 500autoi. Mudcat thanks for answering so quickly. As for the CV boots, I have been thinking the same thing (simple is better = less is best). When checking out your pictures I noticed you have the same GPS unit. Where you get the mount, a while back I thought Bomb offered one but they can't be found in typical outfitter stores (at least I haven't had any luck).

I just got the 400i 4x4 about two weeks ago, and I can't say enough good things about it. Ride is great, ground clearance is awsome, and the power is really great.
I paid $5399 out the door for mine, so your dealers price of $5400 sounds pretty good. Go ahead and get it - you won't regret it. I looked at the 500 auto, but couldn't get past how WIDE the moter is, it just seemed like I would be banging my right leg on it all the time. I know tons of guys love them, and I probably would too, but I'm very happy with my purchase.

Well I test rode both the 375 and the 400i, got to say the 400i has one hell of a ride. Everything felt just like the old 250 except the suspension was so much plusher. The 375 seemed to have a firmer ride but was easier to ride due to the auto tranny. The dealer was offering the i for $5299 but that was without the AC $500 towards extras. Right now I'm leaning towards the i due to liquid cooling, ground clearance, suspension travel and my lack of experience with autos. Anyways I'll make sure to tell you guys when I finally decide.

I just test rode a Kawi 360 4x4 last night and all I have to say is wow. Nice ride for a swing arm (great shocks), smooth tranny, useable power and a locker. Overall I liked the 360 a lot more than the 375 (just because of the locker). The 360 was everything I'm looking for except for the rear suspension (kind of like semi-independent) and no speedo. If only Cat a locker... Maybe a little lighter... Maybe a little more grunt... What's happening to me?
