My 500i manual only has 79 miles on it and I've had it 9 weeks now. Just can't get to riding this year. I have Titan's 589 AT's all around. That's a ruff ride on hard packed surface but they work really well in mud. Didn't change tire size because I like to keep track of milage. Shocks are set to the lowest setting and it still rides hard. I like that but what I don't like is how hard the steering is. It's harder to steer into turns than my brother's Foreman 450s, or my Zuki King Quad. Everything else about this quad is butt kickin'... I'm not planning any mods. I like the machine just the way it is--except for the steering... Yesterday I picked up a truck to haul the monster around from trail to trail. When I told my wife I was going to get a truck for the quad, she asked, "What color?" I told her Green, so it matches my AC.
AC 500i Manual, stock. Suzuki KQ 300cc. W/mods.
Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab, 360 CID.

It is still mostly snow here, but I have not experinced the hard steering. I don't find it harder than my Rubicon.

AC made the suspension stiff to keep out body roll on the independant suspension. THey had the choice of putting in a stiff suspension or anti sway bars and they went with the stiff suspension. Anti sawy bars would have counteracted the independent suspension. I like a stiff suspension myself!

How are the 500i's holding up to abuse! Are they AC tough.
Going to look at one tonight, not sure yet though about one as I want something that will last 10+ years without problems.
Thanks

SO far my 400i appears to be very tough. It is same body as on the 500i. Mt neighbor has some of the older Cats and they are holding up very well. They have been rolled and other things and still are holding up after the damage was repaired. I thinkl these new cats will be around a while especially if you take care of them!
