Front end diff lock is over rated. Hardly ever used. It would not be a feature I'd want next time. When your stuck your stuck, with or without diff lock. Spend the money on a good set of tires instead of spending more on a unit with diff lock. The treads on the Kawi are useless. I could not go thru areas where other atv with aftermarket tires could go with my diff lock featured quad. Once I replaced the dunlops I could go where the 400 and 500 could go. For comparison sake I'd look at the 375 cat or the 400, the 300 is under powered.

Ask 10 people which is best, you will get 10 different answers. All have features that separate them from the rest,Polaris with the 2wd/AWD pushbutton,Kaw. with revolutionary wet brake system,Wolverine, lightest,it comes in at 485,the Kaw. is 604 !! It also is very sporty, disc brakes all around, easy to mod for power.(same engine as Warrior).Honda-bulletproof,great design, Artic cat, great workhorse,a little heavy for a 300 cc. quad. If you are asking 'what should I buy?' WE can't tell you, the only person to make that decision is YOU,based on what you need,speed,handling,workhorse,trail/sport,etc. By just asking, "which is best?" , all you will get is the opinion of every different brand owner out there, plus the flamers who will just say everything but theirs is junk.
To make your own decision, test ride all you can, jump on a buddy's and see how it feels/handles/fits your needs. Get a copy of Dirt Wheels and check their spec sheets, maybe you don't want certain features,or need to have a big towing rating. I'm sorry this isn't more specific, but as I said,I,and no one else on this forum, can say for sure what the BEST quad is,just what is best for us.

I would agree with 95wolv. Ultimately you are spending the cash. I have a 500 AC, I ride with 2 300 ACs, and 2 Ranchers on a regular basis. The Ranchers are lighter but very solid machines. The ACs are just little tanks that take a beating and run run run... Look into the specs on all the machines. Make a pros and cons list and test ride as many as you can. You'll make the right decision!
