I ran the VIN through a different decoder and came up with 1985 Suzuki made in Japan. Check to make sure you got the VIN right because it's saying something isn't right.

Its probably right. You looking at an 1985 suzuki lt230s quadsport. The quadsport, lt230s went from 1985-1988. Does it have a manual clutch and no electric start? Its a quadsport

It has a manual clutch and a kick start that is sideways the chain busted and went through the magneto case

Its the lt230s quadsport 1985. You need to replace the swingarm bearings, the swingarm bolt, and a new chain guide (the plastic buffer). You need to drill a grease zerk into the swingarm tube. You need to drill holes in the main swingarm spacer to grease the shaft bolt. You need to also purchase inside seals on top of the outside seals. You need to loctite your bearings in cause they are prone to spinning. You need to grease the zerk once a month.

You can get magneto case online for 100 bucks or so. To do everything, it should cost you 200, including the new case, bearings, seals, grease, grease zerk, new swingarm shaft bolt, and plastic chain buffer

I gotta tear the top end off the guy who did the motor before me didn't do it right he put red silicone around the top of the head I also have to rebuild the rear end it's supposed to be punched out to a 280 but I'm not sure the carburetor has a 125 jet in it and that doesn't sound like enough fuel for a 280

I found the case for 150 on ebay
