Wondering if anyone can tell me if you can use the exhaust off of a 185s on a 200es?

The head pipe is the same but the muffler may be different, I can't remember. It seems like some of the 185's had mufflers inside the frame and others had them outside the frame under the fender. Any muffler for the 185 that mounts under the fender would probably fit or could be fabricated to fit.

What are you trying to do anyway?

The '84 model had a omplete different rear subrame than any other 200 trike and nothing interchanges with it.

The closest thing you are going to get........other than a used '84 200ES ofcourse, will be one of the under fender exhaust systems like madwolverine pointed out. The '84-'86 200S would be the closest to fitting, but is still going to require some bending to fit right. Don't do this on your own unless it will be a very small bend. Take it to a muffler shop and HOPE that they have a mandrel that small to make it work out.

I need a new head pipe and muffler but can't find either off of an 84 200es, have looked at ebay and everywhere else I know of. If you know of somewhere I may find one I would appreciate any help. I am about to put new ring in and need the exhaust as quick as I can get it. Thanks.

big red go to dennis kirk or dgs site ,they should have a whle unit fr under 150 or even 100.They also make a universal silencer end that mimics stock ower characteristics.SO not only will it be easier it will be new an You will know it matches up properly.Good luck

sugarhead. Those will not work. No one makes one for the '84 ES. It has a differential and the rear subframe looks nothing like the ones from other 200s.

Looks like you are going to have to modifiy a system or buy a aftermarket exhaust. Or.... you could run a straight head pipe. This will make the ol Red louder than a 747. You'll probably need to re-jet it and buy some ear plugs. This will make you bike obnoxious yet cool

I am currently having the same problem......

I got a supertrapp exhaust front to back for a sweet price. Anyways according to the Coba manufacturer the same exhaust will fit the 185 and the 200's. Its crap, mine is in the shop now getting the head pipe bent to fit. Hopefully it works.

the DG exhaust system from Dennis Kirk is now $195 and from what I've seen in many atc groups I'm in these exhaust systems are very loud and I believe some mentioned it doesn't just bolt right on to 84 200es. I'm looking for an exhaust system for my 84 200es and it's ridiculous the prices on old oem wore out ones mostly on ebay. And new aftermarket systems I've not seen under 200 bucks
