SLOWWWW down on the pipe!!!

 

First of all I would like to say that I love honda trikes. I have two 110's. a 185s, and my 85 250R that is bone stock except for the .050 overbore from 19yrs. of use. Last time I was at the dunes a buddy of mine broght his 350X with a 425 big bore kit and the goodies to go with it and I still beat him by a trike length at the drags over and over. Before I bought my 250R I was looking for a 350X but in all honesty they really haven't impressed me. Niether do my 110's but I still love em. My 250R goes 80mph beside my girlfriends sunfire, 110 goes 46 with the tires aired up good and tight, my 185s goes 60 but I uped the front sproket 2 teeth, but it has been bored to a 200cc and I have a web cam and a cobra pipe, with my 17 tooth front spoket on my banshee I can sit her sunfire still when she is cutting off at 105mph and I won't even go into what I have done to it or my wallet my start crying from the abuse I put it through.

 

thats bull! i know that my dads 86 350x would go around 85. Because there was someone riding beside him in a car. And it was bonme stock, and brand new. but it still sould beat that 250r. My dads friend had an 84 250r with an oversized carb, jetted adn it had a pipe. and he could beat him start to finish. He also said that it would beat an 85 350x. he said that he could beat by 10 ft or so.

 

calm down man. now reely, 85 is alittle excessive. something is worng here.

 

There is also a huge difference between an 84 250R and an 85. I don't think they share a single part. The only place I have heard of a stock 350X going 85 is on a trailer behind a corvette.

well im goin with hmfic. he sounds like he knows what hes talkin about

 

I wasnt aware they had 6 gears. Maybe thats why my freinds 350X with a Cobra exaust otherwise stock wont break 60, he only has 5 gears. And here I though all these people claiming 70+mph were full of it. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

the 85-86 had the 6 speed trans.

 

I'll have to check his out. I only rode it a few times but could swear it only had 5 gears. It wouldnt keep up with my 86 LT250 that did 60.5 on GPS and there sure are a lot of high claims here.
