Default 350x engine trouble

Hello I have a 1985 Honda ATC 350X. The other day I was out riding and I went to go up this hill climb and rolled over. idiot i know. fliped back on the wheels started up after a couple of kicks and drove about 10 feet and the motor just shut off. Tried to kick and it was locked tight. My buddy me out to the street and we tried catching it in gear just drug the tires. If anyone knows what the problem might be please help me. Im pretty mechanically incline but this has me stumped because there were no warning sighns of it having problems.

Sounds like an engine tear down to me. If it froze up it could be many things. Crank, piston, cam the possibilites are endless. You wont know until you tear her apart.

pull the plug out, and check for any signs of damage.
pull the valve covers off and look for damage.
Can you put it in nuetral and the trans rolls free?

It sounds like something in the top end is locked up. I wonder if your oil pump/oil cooler could have clogged up or messed up not feeding the top end with enough or any oil. Thats the first things i would check to see if anything is messed up and if it is you prob will have to rebuild anything that it could have messed up. I would say that if that is what had happend then your cam is locked. I think that the piston gets its oil from the bottom end and the top end gets its lube from the oil pump. Thats my $.02

Default Same problem with mine right now.

After dumbing my 350x on its left side it ran for 10 feet then got stuck in 2nd gear. I rode it in gear because it ran okay up to the house. Started shifting fine good then the motor died and locked up like this kid is talking about. I havnt been in this motor yet any ideas on what the issue may be
