I need to know more about your 200x engine in the 300ex chasis... tell me what mods are on that best.. the engine mods. Umm I read you used a xr200 cam.. wouldnt like a webcam racing cam be better?... tell me more!!!

I sold that quad back a few months ago.
Yes, I used an XR200 camshaft, but the Webcam does have a higher lift and duration. I was after more midrange than anything else because of the heavier quad chassis and that was why I went that route.
Other than the XR cam, I went nuts on that engine. There was nearly $2,000 invested in it and that didn't include the carburetion and exhaust. The engine carried the EX quite well, but to be completely honest, the entire package felt a bit like a mildly modified 300EX and nothing more than that. It did however have a lot more top end speed than a mild EX would have had. That was due more to the gearing we had rather than horsepower in general.
Keep in mind that I ended up running the stock X transmission because the XR 6 speed caused clearance problems with the stroker crank assembly that couldn't be resolved without sacrificng reliability. The 5 speed itself requires a serious reduction of material removed from one side of the rod. The 6 speed was going to require just a bit more than what I felt comfortable with.
Overall results with the 6 speed may have been more impressive....but I will never know for sure.
