I have to figure out what to put on my 200x for chain, sprockets, and tires.

Anybody know the stock dimensions for sprocket teet, number of chain links, and tire size?

I got the hole in the stator cover welded up last weekend and the engine fired right up after the carb rebuild. Just need chain and sprockets and my $100 (plus whatever for chain/sprockets) will be well spent.

Hey bigblock

I bought my rear sprockets from SPROCKET SPECIALISTS and they are awesome sprockets. One option I have with my 83 200X is changing the sprocket sizes front and rear to 13/38 and 20" rear tires for the summertime when I just rip around in the dirt, but up here in northern Wisconsin I have to have aggressive winter tires so I switch back to the 22" rear tires and stock 12/40 gearing.

You can even use the same 88 link change with both gearing combos

The ratio with the 13/38 and 20" tires is a little lower so the top speed is higher and I have no problem pulling my 215lb butt around.

Just so extra info.

Jeff

P.S. I have a quote for $70 for stock gearing and o-ring chain. What did you pay from Sprocket Specialists if you don't mind saying.

I have also had good luck with Sidewinder Sprockets.

Thanks again.

$70 is pretty dam cheap!!! I can't recall what I paid for mine from sprocket specialists, I got them from DENNIS KIRK and they don't carry them anymore. The only other place I get parts from that carries them has a price of $55 just for the sprockets, chain and shipping not included.

Jeff
