Does anybody know if a 86 swingarm will work on a 85 ATC? I know that I will need a new carrier but will the chain line up with the front sprocket?

I am looking for a +10 or +12 swingarm for my 85 anyone know a place that makes them for a reasonable price?? I have a +6 on it now but I cant keep on the ground ever since I put the ESR kit on it it cmes up in every gear it will flip right over in 4th and 5th 6th gear it comes up but not as bad. Thanks

I'm guessing you ride mainly in the dirt if your front end is coming up in all gears. I have a +8 and ride sand only, and dont have a single problem keeping the front end down and my trike makes 48 rwhp. First gear is the only gear it pulls the front end up.

Yeah I ride in dirt. I was riding it down my street when it was coming up so easy, b4 the ESR kit it would only come up in 1st,2nd,3rd. My concern is that b4 this motor I would launch it in 2nd gear at the dirt drag and it would come up so im assuming its really gonna come up launching it now. Plus in the future im gonna stroke it so I figured I would just go bigger now.

I found a guy who will make my swingarm. Dave Moore @ dave moore racing he seems reasonable I can get a swingarm with carrier for $465

I got mine here. Although, we you got that big, your jumping, turning, etc will really become limited.

He said he rides only dirt, so this is the reason. With a +8 on the street the front end comes up easily on mine as well which is too be expected. Sand is totally different which apparrently he has not experienced yet. You wont have front end coming up issues in the sand unless your trying to lift it up.

I AM PRETTY SURE that with paddle tires you get more bite than you do on dirt,,, sand is 100% traction with paddles,,,, there is alot of spinning going on ,,on dirt

I am not going to debate this with you. Just think of what you just said, 100% traction with paddles? Never seen it
