First MX race...need help....quick!!!!

Don't ride over your own ability. Walk the track first if possible. When it's time to practice look for the best lines and don't ride too fast. This is the best time to make certain your quad is performing the way it should. Check tire pressure and suspension settings. Also, practice your starts. Getting out of the hole first is half the race. Good luck and have fun.

The race last night was pretty good. I finished 6th out of 6th, so last place. But the quads I was racing against were 2 highly modified Z400, some older modified quad that I had no clue what it was (aftermarket plastic), and a Polaris Predator and Yamaha Raptor. I was right on the Predator and Raptor's tail the whole time, but just couldn't pass them and nobody could even get close to the 2 Z400's. So considering that all the quads I was racing against had twice the power of mine I would say I did pretty good. I had a problem with the nose diving down coming off some of the jumps and almost went over the bars once and had a few rough landing, but later I stayed in the pits while my neighbor went out for a run, and from the looks of things, everybody was having the same problems I was. I had fun, but I think I'm going to stick to XC. I like woods riding better, thats for sure.
