WHATS YOUR BIGGEST JUMP?
#12
As Hak noted, I have pics of an 82' peak to peak double on my website, TCS shocks, although it would be no problem on stockers due to the nice landing ramp. It would be common to break 100' by landing midway on the downramp of this jump.
I have also done measured 90 footers at the dunes, these were what I would consider medium jumps off a less than optimal dune, I have poor quality video footage of these (not yet on the website). This past weekend I did what I figure to be (from previous jumping experience) a bare minimum of 120' @ 20+ vertical (very conservative estimates). Top of 4th (very top of a modified, non rev limited engine) pinned launch (no backing out or feathering at the top) off the top of a 40 foot razor into a mild decline.
The last jump of about 4 at this particular dune was the biggest. Bottomed my TCS's severely and stung my shoulders and wrists pretty badly, also threw a wall of sand over me and the bike. I spent the rest of the evening tearing around in the sand trails. All 4 of these jumps (and others this weekend) dwarf the ones pictured on my site. Unfortunately I didn't get any footage.
Earlier this spring (snake hunt weekend at Little Sahara) I found a nice low altitude (8' vertical clearance) long distance dune jump. I was getting about 1/4 mile run and hitting it topped in 5th (another pinned launch). I would have really liked to know the distance on it. It was on stock shocks.
I have also done 60 footers onto flat landings with my stock shocks - pic on website, under "Chris's track"

Ok get ready to my jump to blow your minds!!!
HEHE, Im still in the learing process of jumping so mine I would have to say...
Distance, umm maybe 20 feet if not less.
Height, about 10-15 coming out of a gullie and shooting straight out verticle, came down on my grab bar
So, anyone want to give pointers on jumping?
