32 to old to start racing?
I just bought a 2006 Arctic Cat DVX 400. I haven't ridden in about 6 years, I had a Kawasaki Mojavie 250, and all I ever did was trail with it. I've had my DVX on the same trails I used to ride a couple of times, but my swing arm keeps bottoming out in the ruts and I get stuck and I also loose traction on the hills. I have a motorsports park about 5 miles from my house. I went over there to check it out and the track was nice and groomed, the jumps looked awesome, but everyone there had to be under 20. Would I be biting off more than I can chew? Also, can I use my quad and would I hane to do anything with it? Any input would help me out. Thanks.

Thats how old I was when I started racing, I'm 34 now and ranked 7th in the state for amatuer class as of today. My raptor is the only quad I have ever owened and I've only had it for 4 years, and rode a TT600 dirt bike for a couple years before that. The young kids dont get tired and they recover the next day vs being sore all week like us old farts, but start out novice class and work your way up you'll be fine.

You are only as old as you feel! I just turned 39 last week, I raced a xc race on sunday in the over 30+A class and won that and wound up 4th overall with over 30 riders in the a class's, and we started off on the last row. I used to motocross years ago but didnt like the young fearless young guys jumping over me. So now its just cross country racing for me. I would say practice as much as you can and just try to stay in shape, oh yea and just keep it fun.
