the list of mods below mostly came this winter,and im still waiting for my engine.im wondering what gear combos are you all using.i race xc and alot of the gncc races are wide open.im looking for more top end without bogging at slower speeds.i would like some suggestions so i dont have to experiment on my own.

if ur getting a 440, u can definitely stand at least 2 teeth taller on the countertooth sprocket, a stock 400 runs good with 1 tooth taller with a pipe and jets n filter.

 

The people that I have talked to that race cross country stay with the stock gearing. You can go up in the front you will not get get up a hill if you get stuck or out of a ditch or any of the other nasty places that you will find yourself in during the race. You might lose 1 or 2 sec in the open field but you will lose more sec in the woods by having to tall of gearing.
