Need some advise

I am turning 15 very soon and I am able to get an ATV for my birthday :-)
I am tryin to figure out weather to get a utility or sport, can't decide. Here is my situation.
I will be rideing in the woods, where it would be a lot easier to use auto, as aposed to manual. My dad is a contractor so he is on a lot of humongus properties witch he could make some jumps with the machines, so I would want a sport for that. And in the winter i will be ridein around the hill's in my town to go to friends houses and stuff, so I am guessing 4 wheel drive would work better for that. So basically with hearing what I plan to do with my ATV, what would you guys reconmend.
One more question, do the police really follow the rules about age to cc ratio ( 90cc's for anyone under 16) or the dealerships.

From what I understand the age to cc ratio is not a law, it is more of a guideline. Check you state's vehicle code to be sure. As far as dealers are concerned, it depends. I'm in the process of buying my daugher's next quad (upgrade from a 50 cc), but she's only 7 and the 90's reccommend ages 12 and up. So I have been told by several dealers to either not bring her in when I make the purchase, or just don't tell them that it's for her. In any event, the dealer, knowing that she is 7, had no problem in showing me the 90 and 125 cc's for her, with her actually sitting on all of them. I think the age to cc ratio is more of a protection thing for the dealer and manufacturer when some child gets hurt becuase their parent bought an ATV that was too much for them and then decide to sue the manufactuer. They can point to the guidelines and say "I told you so." So at age 15, I wouldn't worry bout the police or the dealer. Just get something that you know you can handle (which is true for any adult buying any quad). Good luck and have fun.

unless you are 16, you are illegal on anything over 90 cc, but if you have pased an atv sanctioned safety course, you are legal on anything, as long as you are under parental supervision. Once your 16, you are all legal.
Now, it sounds like you are looking for both a sport/utility quad. May i suggest the honda rancher? i have found this quad to be rather sporty for its utility appearance, it has alot of options to choose, such as 2w 4w, fully auto and what not. Another one would be the yamaha timberwolf, they are good quads, and i have seen one with a pipe go pretty good on some trails.

I was thinkin about a Grizzly 660... (decided on utility)
so what do u think about the grizzly for hill climbing, especially in snow. And i have heard stuff on "ATV Magazine Television" (thanks to comcast on-demand) about how much power it has and stuff like that.
one more question, where is some places to get a safety course (will the dealer provide one?)

You should look at a ltf300 suzuki it my not be sporty but will go anywhere you want. The dealer will supply you with the safety course option say yes and they usually pay you to take it. You will not beable to take it on any thing over a 90cc quad.
