Default Polaris 250 Trailblazer question

Hello, I am currently looking at a 250 Polaris Trailblazer, the lady is asking 1400, I counter offered 1,000 and she might come down but im not sure. This quad looks like brand new, not a crack or anything wrong anywhere except the ligths dont work but it is most likely a fuse or something small. She said she had ridden it twice and it showed looked flawless. So what is the top dollar I should pay for this quad? Thankyou

Welcome to the forums
What year is it? My bud paid 1,500 for a 2000 TB 250 that needed work and the plastic was cracked...

You will like it, the TBs there good starter quads...

Sounds like a good deal to me...

Yes,polaris makes one for them.. But its a 250 you really cant pull a whole lot otherwise you might end up smoking your belt because it don't have low rage and lack of low end torque...

For a 96 yeah sounds good i would not pay more then 1,400 for it...

anytime
If it's light and rolls easy (make sure the tires of the equipment are aired up) and use a little common sense, you should be fine..

Any questions you have just ask...

Default Polaris 250 Trailblazer question

I do beleive my other thread in the Polaris forum got deleted so ill ask here
When I test drove it the other day they told me to start it in drive, which I did and it did ok. Is this normal?
Then when I pulled back in from the test drive it was till indrive and it only idled for like 4 seconds, is that normal?
Other that it ran fine and suprisingly strong for a 250 got my 200+ pound carcus up and moving pretty quick.
And one last thing is there anything that is commonnly wrong with these or anything I should look for?

Default Polaris 250 Trailblazer question

They are great bikes i never hear anything bad about them... They told you to start it in gear because the idling was most likely to high and the clutch was starting to engage, If you were to start it in neutral and then put it in gear it would grind etc not good for the trans.. It only idled for a few seconds because of the idling also, The clutch was starting to engage and the engine was not making enough power at that time to turn the clutch at an idle...

I was replying to that thread a the very minute it got deleted i am not sure why it did though...

Default Polaris 250 Trailblazer question

Me either. But your saying if I where to start it in neutral and then put it in gear its bad for it? So I cant just like shift in to neutral and then back in while the machine is on?

But it doing that is not a bad sign?

Im prolly going to get some mud lites for it because i heard they rip up the mud and dont add much weight. Any reccomendations where I should buy from.

Go to Rocky MT They have the VERY best prices on everything...

The idling problem is a small one, just adjust it so that it can idle in neutral then when you shift into gear it don't grind.. Thats it, yes once the machine is at a stop you can shift into forward or reverse from neutral etc...

I had found out just why your post was trashed, you cant post similar topics in different forums...
