Default In the market for first bike

Looking for some advice on what sport bike i should be looking at getting. I am new to the sport atv world.. had a honda50, dad had a yamaha 175, i've drive'n serveral different atv 4x4 2x4 but all automatic only manual bike i ever drove was my dad's yamaha 175 dirt bike. I am 6'2" and about 200lbs.. I am looking at the warrior 350, honda 300ex, raptor 350, and might look at the banshee 350.. but i am told this is a "savage" machine..

any one have any advice on what size machine i should be looking at.. I am favoring the warrior as a few of my buddies have 2001 models and they say they are great and very reliable. I'll be looking at adding some aftermarket performence items as well so i would want something that has alot of performence options available to it. I am going to be looking for something thats going to last me awhile maybe 7-8 years and still be happy with it

any help would be greatly appriciated.

thanks

Welcome to the forums!

The raptor 350 and the warrior are pretty much the same thing just different plastics so if it was between those 2 i would go with the raptor 350.

Instead of looking at a 300ex look at the 400ex much better machine with alot more options for modding if you would like to go faster later.

The banshee is a machine in a whole different class than the other bikes mentioned. If you like white knuckle riding go with the banshee. A ton of options for modding. Not a good bike to learn on but if you have had previous expereince riding you cant go wrong with a banshee!

Good luck with whatever you choose!

There are things to consider, like what kind of riding you going to do? Trails, dunes, open roads, etc. The 300EX is to small for you, and the Banshee is not the best trail ride, etc. etc............ I rode a Warrior for years. Avoid this machine! You can do way better. I would suggest you look at one of the 400's. Honda 400EX or Suzuki Z400. Both are great all around bikes.

I'm 6'3" 210lbs. Love the sport quads but they all feel tiny under me now. Had 250r's Quad 500's back in the day. Check out the Scrambler's . They were comfortable for me. Try them all before you buy and imagine yourself on the rig for hours, possibly soaked and muuddy. Comfortable still? I drive a Explorer400 4x4 though and am waiting to see what Polaris does with the 05 efi 700. Hope it becomes an 800.Good luck
