Suzuki 500 vinson!!
Hi all!!
I'm considering buying a Vinson automatic??
Just wanting to gather any thoughts, or experiences you may know, or have had with these machines??
Is there a locker for the front differential available??
Does the "limited slip" front end work good??
How fast is the top end speed??
Does the vinson have enough "punch" off the bottom to do wheelies??
How's it compare to other quads in its class, like the sportsman 500&600's, the Kodiak 450, honda foreman, Prarie??
Any input about the Vinson will be helpful!!!
Thanks!!!
Geetar

You would probably get more replies in the Suzuki forum area.
I think the Vinson has a Torsen diff. like my Foreman. Giving a little more power to the tire with the most traction. Hummers have it too.
No locker.
The Vinson is supposed to have a decent top speed for a 500 ute.
Wheelies? I don't know.
I read an article (ATV Magazine) that put the Vinson up against the 600+ atv's. The Vinson did really well considering the lower cc's. They even put the Vinson on the front cover of that issue.
Radar- Vinson- 0-15 mph: 1.48 sec. / 0-25 mph: 2.63 sec. / 0-40 mph: 5.84 sec.
Rincon- 0-15 mph: 1.66 sec. / 0-25 mph: 3.28 sec. / 0-40 mph: 9.80 sec.
The Vinson came in a little faster than a lot of the machines. I don't know if this is completely accurate because magazines do make mistakes. Sometimes. - If it is true, the only reason to buy a 600+ machine would be because of the IRS. The Vinson is a really tall machine. It may not be the greatest choice for wooded areas with a lot of low hanging tree branches.
