RAMSEY Winch any good?
Thus you have the main advantage of the Ramsey, the remote. I have heard that some people have adapted the ramesey remote on other winches but I havent actually seen it done.
Ramsey is a good winch, and I wouldnt hesitate to put one on my atv. IMO the only other winch, besides warn, that is worth a darn when your butt is on the line.

It really depends on what your going to use the winch for.
I have riding friends who have never unspooled their winch in over 2 years - Id say that its a little over kill to spend the big bucks on something you will never use. Will they need it some day? More likely than not - but any winch is just as likely to do the occasional job. If you have a history or expectation of using it often, put your money where you think the quality is at.
I've seen remote kits for warn winches at Gander Mountain - I think.... May have been a universal thing but the WARN emblem stands out in my memory of them.
