The new shocks are pictured on the 2005 KFX 400 on the Kawa site. I'm not sure about the other changes.

The AC 400 doesn't show the new shocks in their 2005 picture. They may be using an older picture.

I like the kfx 400 in orange. If you buy a Z400, kfx or AC, that gives you more dealers to get prices from for the same product. If you buy a Honda, you can only deal with Honda dealers. More dealers = a better price. Hopefully.
The Kawa has the same upgrades than the Suzuk for for 05 (carb, suspesion, bumper, clutch,valve/clutch covers, shifter, grab bar, and cams). w/ all those upgradesfor the +$100 I'd gladly pay, its a steel over 04.
the 05 AC is the same thing as their 04 model

Bottom line... the KFX\Z has to be one of the best deals on the market today

Out of the quads you listed the z would be the best buy because the 400ex doesnt have reverse nor is it liquid cooled. The 05 400ex does have reverse but I dont no if your willing to pay that much for a new one. The raptor 350 seems to "tippy" (like the raptor) for a safe ride.

Sorry bud, but there is no way that should happen. The z has a few more peak hp than the ex. And if a stock ex is hitting 34 hp on that dyno, a stock raptor should be around 45...

What I'm trying to say is that either there was something wrong with the test method or something wrong with the Z. I believe you, but I know that it didnt happen because the EX is supposed to have more power.

In 04 I think it was a tougher choice between the Z and the EX because of the lower MSRP of the Honda but for 05 I would definately go with the Z (unless your Honda dealer is willing to discount the price by a considerable amount).

There was a guy who had a new 05 Z and he dyno'd it stock and put out a nice 31 or 32 ponies I believe ...

The new raptor is supposed to be a touch more than the warrior which would probably make it around 19 or 20 ponies maybe .. the Ex is supposed to have anywhere in the range of 25 - 28 depending on who you ask, and most everyone would agree that the pre-05 Z has around 29-30 ...

If I was in your shoes, I'd get the Z for the missus ... unfortunately I'm not in that position .. I'd like to have one for myself!!!

Good luck!

the Z is a better top end bike and is also a good trail bike. The 400ex will deffinatly bring you home every time If you take care of it. The 350 shouldnt be compared to these 2 bikes.
