Yamaha Bruin 350??
We are looking to buy 3 Bruins. Just for trail...so we are looking at 4x2. We live in TN. Got a price of 4040.00 for 2004. Price of 4300.00 for 2005. These are both out the door prices. Our kids are 12 (5'6", 125pds) and 15 (6', 175). What do you guys and gals think? Would love any feedback or suggestions. Also any knowledge or experience with the Bruin. Have not purchased yet but are wanting to this weekend.

Yamaha Bruin 350??
well it depends on are you {taz} going to get the 4x4 or not because the kawi has the diff lock which makes all wheels spin and on the bruin it has the limited slip. if your going to do deep mud, sticky mud, rock crawling, etc then you may want to go with the kawi cuz of the diff lock and the low range. i need to know what ur terrian is how much mud, hills, rock, etc

Yamaha Bruin 350??
KAWA- I think he is talking about the 2 wd prairie. The 360 prairie isnt much better then my wolverine, and the wolverine is the same as the bruin just lighter... Most of the time, all my 4 wheels are spinning. Weird i know, but some times i have 1 front wheel spinning ALOT. I get through the same amount of stuff just as the prairie would... I think its because the prairie is so much heavier. And the rider on the prairie is about 100 pounds heavier then me.

Yamaha Bruin 350??
I got a bruin 350 4x4. I do ride a LOT but i never abuse my quad like my neighbors do their quads. If you have any angled or high speed turns, it isnt the quad for you. It loves to try to tip in corners. You can get the progressive 512 series shocks for the front end to fix it. I have had only 2 other problems so far. The stock tires it came with went bald really quick, not anything GB gators let happen. 2, my unabused rear swing arm just cracked near the joint!!! If you are going to plow, jump anything over half a foot high or hop over logs with it then youre gonna hit some expensive problems. Luckily, my dad has some welding experience and can easily beef it up. Other than that, no problems.

Yamaha Bruin 350??
It has been about 12-14 years since I been riding and my family and I want to get back into it. Already have one's picked out for the kids. Just need to get one for me and the wife. Mostly just trail riding and occasionally a few mud holes and steep climbs, just what ever might get in the way. Thought about getting one 4x4 and one 2x4. Do not want anything too big and not that expensive. I am 6ft 220. So if that helps, please give inputs. Like I said, torn between the Bruin and the Praire. Test drove the Rancher ES, like it, but want an auto if I can get.
