The first year had transmission problems (can't remember which year that was, 01???). Avoid it!

Two of my friends have owned them, and I have ridden them quite a bit. I found it to be to narrow, which makes the quad tippy. That, and the center of gravity is high, also contibuting to the tippines. One of these guys, kept his only a short while, then got rid of it.......that's how happy he was with it!

But, it does have a thrilling powerband!

i dig the 660's just because their wicked fast and sweet lookin, i was down at sand lake the other day and was watchin em drag-race and they were doin pretty good... if u get one though i would suggest getting an new extended swingarm, because the do have a tendency to flip back when you take off...

They have a few quirks, but are pretty good quads. '01 was the first year, and there were initially some carb boot problems and tranny failures. If you find an '01 and the owner has proof the tranny was upgraded to '02 spec, I wouldn't sweat it. One way bearings for the starter are also notorious for failing on basically all years. I wouldn't mind having a 660 to play around on, they are really pretty capable.
