well first of all the only other sport quad that even compares to the ds in size is the kfx 700 and the raptor 660 is much smaller closer to a z400 size the kfx and ds are in their own class...the steering is just touchy and if you aren't ready you are going to be going into a tree or something I love my ds don't get me wrong but its more for larger people so make your decision have fun.

I'm 16 and have a yfz450. My buddy thats 15 has a banshee. There both great quads and are pretty fast. On top of that, there fast and not to hard to control. Also I don't know how you plan to afford a new ds or somthin new at 14. Unless ur rich as hell or damn lucky. LOL. But seriously, yfzs are fast as hell and handle awesomly. The banshee is fast to and the powerband is really fun. Also, I paid about 3600 for my yfz and my buddy paid just over 2000 for his shee. So consider at leat 2grand leftover for extra money if you buy a newer yfz or shee. That twogrand could go to parts.
So think, A stock DS , a full race yfz w/ elka shocks a pipe and possibly bored out that owns in mx, or a firebreathing 520cc shee w/ elka shocks running on alki that will dominate in a drag.
you decide...

man this looks familiar...
anywayz..
i seriously think u should wait for the new kawi 450
if your worried about ground clearance im asuming ur not into drag or mx...
so the new kawi is "supposed" to be the best ting since sliced bread for the trails
i say ride this ds out , and spring for a kawi 450 once they hit the showroom floor..

i could get a 06 450r for 1k cheaper cuz its been sitting in the dealer for a year and an 06 ltr450 for 1500 cheaper than regular for the same reason, or is there nice changes to the 07's (better plastic, i dont like the plastic shape the way it is now) http://www.stratfordcycle.ca/StratfordCycle7.htm
