warrior 350 vs raptor 350 vs honda 400ex
Hey I am new to quads and am interested in riding. I dont have much experience at riding but am 18 and about 6' 200 pounds. My friends have suggested a warrior 350 because they can be had for about $2000 and the cheapest. But they also said a raptor 350 or honda 400ex but those are more expensive. I am just not sure if I will out grow a warrior 350 or raptor 350. What would you guys recomend? I will be riding alot of trails but also be going to the sand dunes to open it up every once and awhile.

The warrior isnt a bad quad but the handling isnt the best if you want an all around quad go with the 400ex the 400ex will be more fun 2 open up in the desert to. only thing is with the ex is no reverse until 05 which isnt that big of a deal for most ppl
if you can't go without reverse you would prolly be better off with the warrior and the raptor is just a warmed over warrior but will handle better so it all depends on your needs and what you want

You were in diapers when I was out shredding the hills on a Warrior! It was absolutely the worst quad I have ever owned. It is reliable, but handling is terrible by today's standards....pass it up!!!
I had hopes that the Raptor 350 would be an improvement, but it really isn't much better....pass it up as well!!!
The EX is an excellent machine! Great handling, reliable, well balanced machine. Mine is 10 years old, has thousands of miles on it, and still going strong. Pre-05 models (cheaper ones) will not have reverse.

the EX is the all around best quad for the job, not only is it more powerful but it handles great, the warrior is outdated and low on modern technology. i mean dont get me wrong because i like the warrior but its not a personal favorite for me. the raptor 350 is nothing more then a fancy warrior, your money is better spent on the 400EX...

I have both. I ride the Warrior in the woods and on the trails when I am with the grandkids. I ride the EX when I am by myself or with other adult riders that ride a little harder and faster. Both are fun. I know if I was 18, I'd go with the 400EX. The Honda has a better ride and can go easy or hard. The Warrior has a really nice soft seat. Both are good quads. A lot depends on where & how you are gonna ride. A new rider should be OK on a 400EX if he keeps his head until he is a better rider. You can get in trouble on both of them, just a little faster on the Honda.
