Question 2008 Arctic-cat DVX400

Found a good deal on a new DVX. $3699 plus tax. I used to have a Suzuki Z400,and I was wondering if this quad is the same quality as the Suzuki? It's for my wife she rides an old Yamaha Warrior now.

It's basically the same as the Z400. I think the suspension is a little different, but the same engine.

There were differences in the shocks. The Z got reservoirs on the shocks after a couple of years, but the clones (or some of the clones) did not....something like that.....

The 03 Z's also had problems with the front shock supports cracking, so maybe best to avoid that year altogether even with the clones.

They all got rezzy shocks in 06, I think.

If you look over on the left side of the frame by the shifter, you should see the Suzuki manufacturing label.

The only difference between the Z and DVX is plastic and seat. I own an 04 DVX (Green) and enjoy it greatly. The only thing i possibly regret about the purchase is the cosmetics for a Z will not ALWAYS match up for the DVX so it limits some customization. That and if your wife doesn't fly through whoops and is a "sit on the seat at all times" rider her hind quarters will get sore quicker since the seat is a "T" like the Suzuki.

Good buy and i wouldn't change it for anything, except mayb a new seat =P
