Honda TRX 400X vs. Suzuki LTZ 400

I'd say they're about the same at jumping/wheelies. They both have nice suspension, so landings aren't an issue. As for low-end, the Honda has it beat, but they're both trail machines so low-end isn't an issue. As for durability the Honda wins there, very durable machine, Honda is a master with air-cooled engines. The Z400 is more powerful, but not nearly as durable. With all that said, the Honda is my choice, hope this helps.

With a little modification on either of their weaknesses, you'll wind up with a very capable quad.
Tons of aftermarket parts for both out there, and if you shop around they can be had for a pretty good price too.
I bought the kfx, but it was at a dealer that sold both Honda and Kawaski. It was the last year Kawi was carrying the 400 and I got a better price on it.

I've owned a Z400 and rode a TRX 400, I thought the z400 (2006 model) was far bteer riding and looking. The z400 is water cooled, which may be why someone suggested the Honda is more reliable. Our z400 was a champ though, never had a problem, but I convinced my wife to upgrade to a TRX 450 for more power. The z400 (stock) rode like a cadillac on the dunes.
450s are so cheap now, not much difference in price to jump to a 450... if you're buying used.
