Two Wheel ATVs
#1
I would like to know all there is to know about 2-wheel ATVs. I am a college student doing a paper and would like to know anything there is. Are their standards in the production of ATVs? Product tests? What is the life of the machine? Is their safety tests done and if so what? Since I know nothing, please give me any information you have. Thanks so much.

I can't answer all of your questions, but for the life of the machine it will only last as long as the proper maintenance is kept up. Just like any machine with proper maintenance and repair it will last almost forever. Take cars for instance, I have seen cars from the 20's driving on the street. They are more complex than a quad and they're still around. Anyways for the rest of your questions you might try purchasing some magazines and visiting some web sites like um, let me think ....www.kawasaki.com . Just my semi biased opinion.

Greetings,
Dirt Wheels did a short article on a two-wheel ATV called the Ranger (I think). I saw one at an auction last month -- its basically a motorcycle with big disk wheels and two chain drives. Looked a bit odd and didn't seem very useful IMHO. If you have the lead time on the paper, check with DW and see if they can help you get in touch with the manufacturer.
