Default Recommend a quad for my 7 year old please

Hey guys,
I am looking for advise please. I am buying my 7 old a quad and was planning on buying a 90 so he can get used to riding. I just came across a Quadsport 250 and was wondering if that is too big and powerful or if it something over time he can grow into? I appeciate your thoughts.

A lot depends on how mature he is and how big he is. If ha has no experience then the 250 will likely be to big and powerfully for him. At his age picking the right machine is very difficult. There is no one size fits each age bracket. Whatever you buy be sure parts are readily availiable!! Many people buy cheap Chinese junk cause it is cheap, then find they cant get parts and cant fix them, the forum is filled with people looking for odd parts. Do your homework before you buy!!

Most Quads can be governed by adjusting the throttle. I'm with Kymco 450I , buy a brand name bike that he fits on. When he grows, you can trade in for a bigger one and not end up with a Chinese POS. I would include Kymco as a brand name company, made in Taiwan, not Communist Red China. Honda, Kymco, Yamaha, Textron Off Road (Cat), Can Am, Polaris, Kawasaki, Suzuki, etc.Make sure you get him a helmet! A 250 governed down, might be ok... at least for a while.

Size and maturity are always more important than age. Some kids that age might possibly be big enough. And he might be mature enough, IF if the throttle is governed as mentioned, but other 7 year olds sit around eating boogers. That's the maturity level I expect from most of them. And as always, stay away from Chinese junk.
