Springdrl-
heh heh heh-Good one!

As for the recon, I don't know much about them myself, but from what I've heard, they are a great first quad, and seem to be easy on the ladies as well-if your wife plans to ride much. Sorry I can't help any more than that, but I haven't heard anything bad from the recon-they seem to be a rather popular machine. Like Springdrl said, try offering several hundred less, see what gives. If he's negotiable, you may be able to get a better deal than you otherwise thought possible!

I'm currently working on that myself-our suburban is on the fritz, was approved for a loan today, so tomorrow morning, I'm making the plunge on a new Chev pickup. Well, not "new" new, but a '99 it looks like, with 21,000 miles-Silverado Long box extended cab LT (full leather, cd, etc.-loaded) 4x4. Price is $26,000, trying to negotiate on a higher price for the sub., or lower price for the new truck, along with a spray in rhino liner bed liner. Looks like I can get it for around $20-21,000 which would be OK I THINK.

Anybody know what that truck is going for in other areas out of curiousity???? I've found a couple '01 models for around $28,900, but won't be able to get near as much for trade in value on the Sub.... Not sure if it's worth the difference or not.

Best of Luck, and Thanks for any opinions on the truck,

Mike

Matt--- I just bought a new Recon in May. '01 was $3200 OUT THE DOOR. Email if you want name of dealer. Recon is a very, very reliable machine. Light, and fast for a 250cc. Ask any Recon owner, they have only good things to say about them!

Later, Mike.

I am researching ATVs myself. If you are going in mud, snow, or pulling a cart on sloping terrain, I've been told go with 4x4. Isn't the Recon in question a 2x4 @$2700? you may be hald pressed to get a 2x4 up wet terrain.
