300Ex VS Blaster VS Quadsport 230
#1
I can't decide what I want. I am 6'1" 165 pouds and I don't know if a blaster would be big enough, how does it compare in size to the old 230 and 300ex? I like the 230 but want something that will run at the front of utility quads. The 230 will, but it is not too easy. I ride mostly trails and dirt roads. The 2-stroke motor of the blaster has it's advantages such as lots of hop up potential, but don't know if it would be reliable enough. I also would like reverse. Another thing going for the blaster is it's cheap in price, but with that comes cheaply built parts(such as the brakes). The 300ex's advantages are: very reliable, good shocks, smooth handling, and more torque than the blaster. The disadvantages are price and weight. Then again, I doubt these machines would be very big of a change from the 230. I like the 230 because of good power for its size, light weight, and good reliability. My main dislike is it's slow, only a few MPH faster than my 200s. Which runs faster topped out, a 300ex or blaster? I know this is kinda long, but I don't know which one I want, or if I even need another ride.

From the bikes you mention, I assume the 400ex and Raptor are out of your budget. If so, go with the 300EX. It is on the small side but no one complained nearly as much about it until other sport machines cropped up a few years ago, so don't be discouraged by that fact. The Warrior was a little bigger than the 300EX but was a clod hopper compared to the Honda and drives like a tank. Alot of people overlook the potential of the 300EX. It will outrun a Blaster on top end.
