My wife and I are planning to purchase two new atv's which will be used mostly for trail riding, some hunting, and occasional utility. I was thinking of one 2X4 and one 4X4. I'm considering the Polaris TrailBoss 325 for my wife but have read they vibrate a lot. I had thought about the Polaris 325 4X4 or Honda Rancher 4X4 for me, but read that the Polaris is underpowered and has the same engine vibration problem as the TrailBoss. We are both 6' tall and we also have 3 kids ages 2, 3, and 6 and would like to take them along sometimes. I would appreciate any help and input you can provide me.

Take a look at the Kodiak it has a 2 or 4 wheel drive, good power and sport - utility use. I hope you were open for other suggestions.

Check out the Honda Recon or Kawasaki Bayou 300 for the wife. A lot of people will tell you never to choose Kawasaki over a Honda but I have not been disappointed with my Bayou 220, other than not spending more to get the 300. The Bayou 300 is the only 300cc quad on the market with a dual-mode rear differential. I will give the nod to the Recon if you're looking for a more sporty ride. However if you're not interested in speed and want more of a utility quad, don't overlook the Bayou.
Heck, I better quit writing before I decide to go trade in my 220. Good luck. |
I would get the Honda Recon for the wife and a Honda Rancher for yourself.
