I bought an 03 Prairie 650 with a winch and plow for my property out here in the woods and my wife and I have found that we like trail riding quite a bit. Now she wants one of her own. I just spent $7,500 on this one and have to think budget for a machine for her. Now, she is not agressive, likes the trails but is not likely to look at a big hill off the trail and say "I wonder...." She is more of a stay on the trail and look at nature rider so far. She saw a Yamaha Blaster and really liked it. But, how do the sport bikes deal with trail riding? Like compared to say and Ozark 250?

Any suggestions on what to look at and what to stay away from would be great. I am very new to this.

 

I would'nt get the blaster, they are good bikes but , kick start, no reverse, and 2-stroke with clutch isn't for sightseeing, I think you found the right bike for her in the Ozark, priced right and best bang for the buck IMO....

Checked out several before deciding and one thing she noticed right away was that the 250 class machines were'nt gonna cut it.
Seriously considered the Prairie 360 but in the end the price and vibration drove us away. The Eiger was 4614 out the door.
