07 800 dead and won't restart
 

My buddy has an 800 4X4 and every once in awhile after he shuts it off it won't restart. There is no power period. Each time he's fiddled with the key with no luck and the only way he's got it to restart is to disconnect the battery cable and reconnect it then it will start. The dealer doesn't have a clue and blames it on driver error. The other day it wouldn't restart period and he took it to the dealer again and when they went to look at it it started right up for them!

yon know, my 07 500 outlander does the same thing. When riding,everything is fine but when you shut it off to take a break, sometimes it won't start up unless you give it a little gas. Then it will start but either die when you let off or idle at about 800 rpm and it sounds like its running on one cylinder. Ive noticed when i shut it off that the tail light and instrument panel will stay on for about 20-30 seconds then shut off. This is normal and when it does this,it WILL start up just fine,but if i shut it off and the instrument panel and tail light shuts off the same time i turn it off then it will have starting issues. My dealer couldn't find the problem either because t started right up for them also.
