gas mileage on a dodge 1500 w/a 360 in it?
I have a 2000 dakota quadcab 4x4 with the 5.9 liter 360 and 3.92:1 gears and let me tell you it's a sceamin puller but bongs the gas!! Pulling our quads I get about 10-12 MPG doing sixty five with the a/c on max. The milage without trailer and quads avrg. 13.5-16 city/highway.
I have a cousin that has a duramax that's just bad a$$, check it out in my pics.

Hemi has 345HP/375 lb.-ft. 100 more HP and forty more lb-ft than the 5.9 liter 360. Fuel efficiency improved by ten percent. Also it's 60lbs lighter than the 360 magnum.
Can you imagine one with a turbo or supercharger !! That has the makings of a SVT Lighting eater!!! sorry ford boys ha ha

Plus the Duramax just sounds cool. But whatever you do, do not get a Cummins diesel...they are bad on fuel, NOISY and rough.Just my opinion...I would never get a gas truck after owning this LTV. (Luxury Towing Vehicle). On top of that, with the Duramax, if you feel you need more power, it's easy. Throw in some new injectors, computer chip and perhaps mess with the turbo housing, and your putting out almost 800 ft.lb of torque and some 425+ HP.Jeff
