I need tires!!! The stock DS tires are junk. I had 5 flats today! I would like to lightest 6-ply's available so I do not lose any power. Any ideas are more than welcome.

 

itp has the new xcr's in 6 ply they claim to be for all four-strokes

 

I would like to add that you do not necessarily (sp?) need 6-ply tires to stop punctures and flats... I have Sur-Traks in 22" and they are 2-ply tires... Yet they are bullet-proof when it comes to puncture-resistance... YOU CAN NOT DESTROY THESE TIRES BY NORMAL MEANS...

I ride at sick speeds in trails full of jagged rocks, nasty twigs, tree stumps and sharp stuff (And i've driven on most of it).. I've also spoken to many people who use Sur-Traks on their DS and say that on a normal ride...everyone in the group with 4 or 6 ply MX tires (Razrs, XCR's, etc.) almost always gets a flat...but the guy on the big ole DS and Sur-Traks has never EVER punctured a tire...

Just goes to show how ply ratings can be deceiving...

One reason the sur trax dont puncture as easily is because there is MUCH more tread to protect the actual tire.
The tread on MX tires is not as beefy.

I have them, I like them alot. I have a fair amount of time them and looking great. Did a 1 hour hair scramble on them. I have not had to put ANY air in them.

 

I have the RAZR 23/22 setup and they are only a bit heaver then the 4plys.. I am going back to the stock tires sizes when my -1 swing arm showes up.

 

XCR Holeshots are awesome tires. Irun these and I love em'. Would recomend them to anyone who needs new tires. Work great for any terrain.
