Stock DS650 HP rating & Recalls
#1
#2
In estimate to stock (rear wheel) horsepower, you're looking at 44HP.
In regards to recalls the following are the ones I'm aware of:
-Rear axle lock nut coming loose (improper torque)
-Front ball joint missing locking pin
More than likely, if it's a later production model these problems would have been resolved. You can check them yourself easily. Look at the front A-arm near the wheel, and see if the nut has a locking pin through it. And the axle, just move the DS from side to side via the rear grab bar and see if there is any play in the axle.
I continually check the rear axle, chain tension, etc. on my bike for safe measures.
Any good trail rider or racer will tell you to inspect your bike each time before riding.
Hope this helps!
