What do y'all know about Maxxis 4 snow tires?
 

I've been reading all about them, really like the 12.8 pound weight, 2 ply rating is not so good, multi-directional tread is good, tire increases 40% with high RPM = good, I guess. I'm looking for opionions here, especally those who've seen 'em in action! I needs a new set of gum for the winter & these are looking goooood so far![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

What do y'all know about Maxxis 4 snow tires?
 

I dunno how they do in the snow but they are the tire of choice for dirt drags. They work ok in sand, but not as well as paddles. You can change directions to get more or less bite as needed. The fact that they grow as speed increases is a plus. You can gear way down to get a good holeshot and good acceleration and the growth of the tire will give you more topend.
I have yet to run them, but i've seen them in action and raced others with them(got spanked outa the hole in loose dirt). I'll be getting a pair once i get my DS back together...

I'm sure this is pretty obvious with the tread being so soft, but I wouldn't get a whole lot of tread life on fire roads, would I?

May want to look into getting some tire chains also...... They will help out alot...

I've seen someone run them in the drags. His DS is pretty hot anyway but he smokes everyone off the line.
