Default Sand tire pressure?

What psi do you run in sand tires, extreme haulers to be exact for the best possible traction. I usually run about 5 psi in my holeshots but not sure about my haulers. Would lower pressure be better. I dont want to hurt the tires. What do you run?

3 psi is very popular. I've heard some people going to 2.5 psi however I kinda like 3 psi since I don't want to risk the tires coming off of the bead. Right around 5 - 6 PSI is normal for dirt tires.

Thanks BlackHawk, They are at 3psi now, so I'll just try that and go from there.

the air pressure depends on the sand,if it is real dry and fluffy 3 pounds is good. if the sand is wet go 5 or higher, some go as high as 10 psi.

3-5 psi for the rear, 8-10 psi for the front.

ironrod do you run that high a pressure in your fronts at the dunes. Do you just drag or ride in the dunes? I can see that pressure in a drag. I almost killed myself this weekend at the dunes with 9psi in the front. (I had a bad gauge) went down to 5 or 6 psi and was alot better. 3-5 in the rear is just right I think aswell.

I run that pressure in the front most of the time when I drag. You'll get at least 1-2 bike lengths out of that. For the trails, equal pressure around 5-7 psi all the way around is good. I do change my pressure a lot. I ended up with one of those Sears portable air tanks - I use it all the time!

Another note: I have really good shocks up front and I rely on them to do the work more than the tire.
