On both sides of the DS, the metal foot protector support bars have snapped near the footpegs where there is a bend in the bar. I have never rolled the DS, this is happening under normal use. When this happens after a jump, it is possible for the black plastic foot protectors to get eaten up by the rear tires and can also snap the yellow rear fenders where they mount to the black foot protectors. I have had to replace the yellow rear fenders, both foot protectors and two metal foot protector support bars, at a total cost near $180.

You are the only guy on these posts that complains about there DS. What are you doing to the thing. I have had mine since Feb. and ride it 3 to 4 times a week, from sand dunes to mud bogs with not a lick of trouble.

scooby
I hate to accuse you of anything without knowing u but either u got the worst bike ever produced or it doesn't matter what u would ride and who made it you would kill it. I just cannot believe the problems u are having. I have got a 11 yr old bike and after all those years i do not have a list bigger then five things i have had to do to it. |
yeah i agree, something isnt right scooby. It must be the worst bike ever made. Something isnt right, because not everyone has those problems. You seem to throw a new problem at us everyday..i would sell it and buy a 2000 ds. So far i have not evn had 1 problem with mine....i think you got a bad one, or just beat the hell out of them
