your air/fuel mixture screw needs to be atleast 3 turns, maybe 3 1/2.
you will gain the most , by trying you needle on every position, then going back to the one that works the best. TRY THEM ALL!! every engine is different,and elevation,air tempature, and so forth.

This article may help you , it has symptoms of lean and rich.
You can do a few things to trouble shoot if its lean or rich.
Try pulling on the choke, while making a test run. If it runs better, its lean. The choke will add abit of gas, because its an enrichener.
You could try pulling the air box lid, for a run, if it runs better, then its rich.
You can put a piece of duct tape, on the snorkle, and cover it, about 25%, and take a test run, this will richen it up.
You can alos do a chop test, on the spark plugs.
Being from MN, Its hard to find real gas. Unless the pump says so, it has ethenol in it, and thats about 10% leaner than pure gas. So try to use the same gas, once youre done with the jetting. Switching back and forth between the blended and pure gas will drive you nuts, trying to get the jetting right.

Hi guys
Thanks for all the help you all gave me. I went out and race my buddys pred today and I can get him off the line from a dead stop or rolling start and walk away from him fairly easy but she just dont seem to rev like it should. I could only get about 6800 to 7100 rpm it was kinda cool out also. I am happy that I am able to beat him but just not quite happy with overall performance. I am going to play with the jetting a little more tomorrow to see what I can get out of her.
By the way the pred has the whitebrothers pipe on it and a 9000 rpm rev limiter on it
