Finally got the Roll Design steering stem
I was tired of waiting for Roll Design to come out with a stem for the ds, so I ordered one with a 1 1/4" shaft and 40" long and told them it was for a custom barstool racer. They sent it to me for $100. All I had to do is figure the height I wanted and weld on my bottom. It's all done and powdercoated. This thing is awesome and only cost $150 with powdercoating. I will post some pictures later.

They charge $300 for a powdercoated stem. But they don't make them for the DS. So I ordered it with a 40inch stem and cut it to size and welded on my end. I sleeved it, welded it, then plug welded it. Spent a little time grinding down the welds and you can't tell it was ever modified.
If they don't make parts for what you need, I always say "make them yourself"

That quad is too nice to have been ridden.
I couldn't get mine to look like that. Even with a tooth brush.
How do you like those shocks? Did you have to mod them or were they made for it?
Those heel guards are pretty trick, too. Where did you get those?

I clean it as soon as I get back from riding. It seems if you let the dirt and mud sit on it for a couple of days it sticks to the DS and is harder to get off. First I hose it off then I spray the whole thing down with simple green and let it sit for about 5 mins, then I was it with a mix of dish soap and simple green. Works pretty good. My wife also calls me **** about cleaning As for as the elka's I ordered them for my DS for my riding style and weight and they set them up for you. The heelguards are Diamond G powdercoated with textured black.
