I DONT KNOW WHY EVERYONE THINKS THAT THE DS650 IS THE NEW KING OF SPORTS QUADS. NO ONE KNOWS HOW IT RIUNS THEY JUST ARE HEARING STUFF THAT BOMBARDIER IS PUTTING OUT. IT MIGH BE A GOOD QUAD BUT I THINK IT 400EX IS BY FAR THE KING. I THINK THE DS650 IS ABOUT THE UGLIEST QUAD. THE FENDERS WILL BREAK OFF IFF YOU TAKE IT THRU THICK WOODS. THEY NEED TO DO ALOT OF CHANGING ON THE LOOKS I THINK. IT IS ONLY MY OPINION. I WOULD NEVER PAY 7K FOR A QUAD THAT IS ONLY FOR THE DUNES. LONG LIVE HONDA.

I think we can all safely say from your post that your not biased, at all, are you? Have fun whatever machine you should choose to ride.

banshee is the king, DS650 will be the king.

BansheeKiller 11-30-1999 07:58 PM

400EX is the king and the only bike they have to wory about is a yz400 quad or a new EX w/ a bigger engine

coryatver 11-30-1999 10:43 PM

that thing is wide! I like the suspention and speed but how are you soposed to ride on trials. I know it is not made for it but nether is a banshee or a 400ex and people still do and it is fun. To bad you can fit that on trails or it would be awsome. Those fenders do look fragile. but you could just take them off

And another thing, when you want to go riding you have to gather up a trailer and all sorts of towing goods becouse that overgrown canarie bird can't possibly fit it the back of a truck w/ ease( unless you own a flatbed!!)also, i just got my 00' 400 and i love it. it's just big enough for me to handle it and i sure don't need a yellow crotch rocket. my 400 is plenty fast enough for me and it hurts me enough as it is. people that need all that speed are just looney. it's fun while it last but in the long run, you die faster!! end of story. 400EX's are the best overall unless of course they come out w/ a 400R or 650EX!! it all comes down to personal taste.

My '85 Odyssey is 60" wide from outside rear tire to outside rear tire, even though it's tight, it will fit in a full size pick-up. Considering this, a DS650 should fit easily

Why is it that some people are so quick to bash a quad that isnt even out on the market yet? These people must be really worried that the DS650 might be better in some way than the quad that they own. If it is, then that must mean that the person that owns it is better too, right? Oh, please! No one is going to judge how good of a man you are by the quad you ride. If they do? Don't worry about it, they are just being childish.

Eric Zeh '85 FL350R, far from being the best quad.

I think some of the problem stems from the fact the DS_650 is not released yet, or whatever the problem is, and people are calling it the the quad the has just dethroned the venerable Banshee. Does it have the specs to do this, I would say yes and some magazine tests have proven it, but I would, like most people, want to see the quad released so we can judge it for ourselves. The Banshee and to a lesser extent the 400EX have proven themselves worthy, but the DS_650 has a ways to go.. I do hope it succeeds though, I would love to see this machine spark some competition from the other manufacturers!

Have a great weekend..

The DS650 wont fit into the back of a pickup? What kinda pickups do you think people who are into this sport own, Isuzu Pup's? Or that new Nissan with the 4' bed? How do you think people cart around modified ATV's? I certainly don't envision hundreds of ATV'ers owning flatbeds. If the DS650 wont fit into your truck, I suggest you get a bigger truck! If your truck is that small, where do you fit your camping gear.. or heck even your shiney new 400EX?
