clutch lever

Default clutch lever

anybody know what the two little wires coming off of the clutch perch are for, i unhooked them and the bike still started. are they important?

not im not positive, but i think that they tell the bike that the clutch is engaged, hense start in any gear. that would be just a guess.

well if thats the case, i wouldnt need it since i only start my bike in neutral

You may want to check to see if the bike can be started in any gear without the clutch being pulled in. If this is the case, you may want to leave them connected...if you have kids around, or crawling on your bike, they could accidentially start the bike, and get hurt. We have young kids with us on alot of rides, or in the dunes...they're always playing on our quads...just something to think about.
