Thumper650- Not to be a jerk or anything, But If you do more duning than trails, Why the heck are you worried about what swingarm withstanding a freakin tree stump. I dont get it. If ya hit a tree trunk youll probly be up the creek anyways.

Just get a dang 730 kit or a turbo and you will be happy. It wont help wondering what all that power is like all your life.

Ive had several builds- If I could do it all over again, I would get a new Baja with the following:

First--keep basically stock
port head
heavy duty valve springs
bigger stay bolts
+8 swingarm
17-40 gearing
tripple buff all around w/ 7 paddles in back 22inch.
Marvin shaw shocks

IMO- the turbo is cheaper than the big bore kits that are out on the market by different companies.

The DS800 is a big bore 730 cylinder & stroker crank. 730 is about the max you can go on bore alone.

I've been setting up plans on what I'll do when I get a DS650. HP Research looks like the place to take the DS. I also want a KMS Turbo and Nitrous Kit. If anyone has any suggestions on what should be done far as head work and cam, Please reply. I definately want the 730 Big Bore Kit and the transmission undercut kit. I'm sure I would want to extend the swing arm. I'll all so want to upgrade to the light weight drivetrain kit and I think there's a titanium sprocket kit out. Simply put, lighten and strengthen the drivetrain. I don't know ,since I would get a turbo kit, what kind of Head tuning I should do. I'm heading to basic training in Oct. I'll be gone for alittle while and earn some money. When able I plan to purchase the DS and immediately have these things done to it. Everything except the internal engine work. Thank You for any help. Please excuse any typing errors and the fact that I don't own a DS, but will.
