Think I missed this first time around. . .

BigBaja - I run the same gearing on the 760 - 16/38 - seems to work pretty well.

I don't run an extended swingarm. I like the power for the hill but, also for duning. We usually ride at 4500' ASL so there is a power loss which makes it a little easier to keep the front end down. That and I'm sure mine isn't tuned in just right and not the fastest out of the hole to start with.

You could do an 800 with a Pami 105.5 jug bored to 108 (I think). You would need a custom piston though and I don't think anyone has made one yet so, I wouldn't be the first to try this unless you had plenty of money. . . + lots of other details.

The turbo is by far the biggest power gain for the buck. Would work great on the bigger hills I usually ride.

DuneMe was talking about power I would have all the time and wouldn't keep costing me. but your right NOS may create the Most HP for the buck but only for short periods. I probably need a Low Compression piston that is tough for the turbo kit I know on V-8's you run around 8.5:1 CR when super or turbo charging. So I would need a piston that will fit the 730 bore or bigger, that will alow me the correct CR. Assuming 8.5:1 is the best CR for a turbo DS730 or larger.

I don't know how "uptodate" the HP Research website is so, is a bigger CC available for a DS? i notice you mentiond a 760 and 800. I assume the 800 you mentioned is technically a 730CC as CountryJoeGlass said. I'm just curious to see how big the DS's are getting. I know Raptors' big bores are as big as 780. I'd much rather have a DS. Thank You

650, 720,730,703,733,760,800,830,840, did I miss any, I think you can get a 690ish also. Pick your poison, all have different manufacturers. Major's turbo was the fastest turbo I have seen to date, 733 turbo. Sandbomber's soon to be 840 nitrous bike is the fastest bike I have heard of.

I need to make a correction. . . the largest bore only I know of (although noone is running it) is a 108 bore which is a 105.5 jug bored out. Total displacement is about 760cc.

Otherwise you are looking at bore and stroke combinations.

The difference between the 730 and the 800 is the stroke. A stroked bike delivers a lot of torque but, to get it you have to split the cases.

I believe that HPR has the 730 8:1 piston already to use with a turbo.
