This weekend I finally got a chance to drag the hill with my 22" haulers and with my 15t sprocket.

I used to have 20" Edge 8 paddles and a 16t stock sprocket. My friend has the exact same 04 Baja and same exact end cap mods but he has 20" Sand Stars and 16t.

Now with the 22" haulers it seems to get out of the hole a bit faster than him but when it comes to the hill I cant pull on him. So I beat him but just with the hole shot.

We raced about 9 or 10 times. Both taking off in 2nd @ 7900rpm and running 3rd all the way up the hill.

 

My favorite riding spot down here in Florida has some wicked sand, "for down here anyway". But I have always wanted to buy a pair of paddles just to ride in this spot. I am a little scared that I would roll it more than usual with them though. I have Holeshot HD's and when I drag in the sand, every now and then one of my rear tires will grab on the hard packed dirt underneight. Maybe you could suggest a pair of paddles for me that would work a little better in my riding condition?

 

Find someone with a tire called "4 snow" from Maxxis....its a very different design. See what they have to say about them. I hear they are great for sand also and flat drags. They dont dig and they have less tire drag in the top speeds. They also grow taller with wheel speed giving you more top speed.

Maybe someone in the forum and ring in about these.
