I use to run stock mikuni with needle on the second to the bottom clip with K&N and FMF pipe. That is what I found ran the strongest. What are you running now? and what elevation are you at?

I run at Sea Level. And it's the stock jet, not sure what size is stock.

I can't remember if stock is 162 or 165? but stock should work fine with fine tuning done on the needle clip. Some will argue that point but I found it to run the best from 3000-6500ft with the stock main jet and moving the needle up or down. when I would go to glamis I would use a size larger main jet. With a totally stock bike I could imagine a smaller main jet would be needed at higher altitudes like st anthony.

Why the need to change jets on a 4 stroke?

I run the same jetting for Glamis, Dumont and Coral Pink.

There's a difference of over 6,000 ft from Glamis to Coral Pink.

All my quads run fine without changing them.

I don't get it!

6000' to coral pink huh? Run a 167.5, lid and seal off. 162.5-165 will work also good, specially if you run with a lid.

So it sounds like stock would be fine.

stock DS's will run okay with the stock 165 jet, but it will be a little rich. the DS and its big bore vacuum slide carb runs pretty good without changing the jetting, but others like the small dual vac slides on the raptor for example run very poor without jetting changes.

Good rule of thumb is drop one size (2.5 increment) for every 1500 feet you raise.

SJRD you are probably lean now with the power tip and K&N and stock jet, and will probably be right on at the higher altitude and stock 165 jet.

When are you gonna be there? I'll be at St. A's from june 17-22.

I thought the stock Jet was a 175 at sea level?
