lol...funny you posted that...that would be my buddy alex. He races a yfz with his brother (He races B, his bro races A). That vid was taken a couple weeks ago at the same track I rode yesterday (sunset).

That ds is his dads stock 05 X. They are a crazy pair... I clear the double, but dont have the nuts to clear the entire step up!

some fully adjustable elkas would let me do both! lol, I dont track ride much, but it would be nice to stiffen it up for the track, then loosen it back up..and If I had elka zps' I could adjust the ride height so the COG wasnt so high.

I got really lucky and found mine (Elka) on Ebay from a guy Saudi Arabia. Very cool guy who was sponsered for a rally.
I love my DS but I don't think it's the machine to dump money into for mx.
It's that giant engine! It is so big and has a big frame to carry it.
Hard machine to control once you are airborne.

Interesting this thread came up as yesterday my friends and I were at Mammoth Bar near Auburn CA which has a pretty good MX track. It sure is a lot of work, three laps and I am winded. The DS is definately more work but I found if you can keep the tires spinning enough it gets you through the corners with out as much excertion. It was still a lot of fun, hadn't ridden that track in quite a while, kinda forgot how much work it was LOL.

I knew the day I was riding I was doing a lot of work (more tired after 5 laps than I probably ever have been in my entire life.. yet I continued to do 5 sets of 4-5 laps). It is now monday, we rode saturday, and I am walking funny and its a biotch to stand up or sit down! I know I am out of shape, but DANG! I had no idea it was that much work!

everybody was laughing because I walked like I had two broken legs... I could hardly bend over to pick anything up, and when I did it was a biotch to get myself back up straight. I dont think I will be pursuing MX on my ds, but i know one thing for sure, its GREAT exercise!

LOL Roost. I can picture how much you are hurting. MX racing is not for the weak that is for sure. It is probably one of the most vigourous activities for the muscles. It is good to try from time to time. Don't quit MXing Roost just because you are hurting today. Its a good sore!

Here are those other pictures I found searching Google.

Roost, did you get any good pictures? Show some of us if you do.

That is funny that video is your buddy. Small world. If he is that crazy on his dad's bike I can not imagine him on his YFZ! lol. Crazy ****.
