Default Why Should I Buy a DS650

I need some help here as I have been contemplating on buying one for desert racing/riding, as they appear to be pretty bullit proof in this style of racing. I currently own a Raptor 660R with the standard mods, and it's been a good all around fun bike and that's what it will be kept for. I am looking for reasons I should choose the (DS 650) bike over the new 700R, or the new Honda 450R.
Mr. Matlock seems to have pretty good success on his Alba bike recently, so i'm wondering if he's gaining an advantage going with the lighter weight bikes?
I have never owned a Bomb and would like to hear why you guys love these bikes so much. Also isn't there an aftermarket fuel injection system available for this bike (Lectron) and what would it cost? Also are there any rumors that Bombardier will come out with their own fuel injection since Yamaha did?

Thanks for the help in advance.

I like riding the bom because it's big, very comfortable, and fun to ride. maybe the same reason people like to drive big old fast cars.

The DS is a great desert racer and for that reason I would buy the DS. I sold my DS to buy the 700R. I ride the desert, the dunes, and the Mountains to 12000 ft so it was the logical choice for me..

In open desert and dune riding/racing you can't beat the DS. However it is not good in small MX type tracks.

I can't speak for the Raptor, I really don't care for them. THe DS is so comfortable and plush, you can ride it anywhere and it doesn't beat the crap out of you. Here's a scenario: My buddy and I both bought DS's, he felt it was too big and heavy that he couldn't have fun with it. Him being the guy that has to have the new stuff, he went and bought a Honda 450. I the meantime I do some mods to my DS, picks up some good power and it becomes ALOT more fun to ride. He gets on it this past weekend to try it out --WALA, he's selling his 450 and getting another DS. Sorry for the rant, I just think they are an incredible machine. Every time I ride someone else's quad and get back on mine I just think how much more I like mine.

Thanks for all of the responses. Anyone have any idea if Bombardier is going fuel injected for the next year? Somebody said no reverse? I guess i'll have to look at the web-site.

Thanks!
