My god!! that thing is seriously ugly!!

 

Thats not even a "Catch Up" quad. Holy crap, its 70lbs heavier than the Honda 250EX. Is this a taste of things to come? You know if Im tired or cant make a good Chinese meal I send out for it. Looks like BRP is either tired or can make a good 250 quad, cuz they sent out for it.

You can buy the same thing over at your freindly neighborhood cat dealer. I suppose I would take one of these over a Phoenix. To bad someone won't wise up and put a little bigger(350?) ballsier engine with a CVT in a 400lb or less sport frame. THAT would be worth owning for the wife and occasional newb buddy to ride.

I know its all about the money, it takes as much labor to make a small quad as it does a big quad, and nobody wants to pay big quad price for a small quad, so they contract the small quads to countries with the cheap labor. but hey, this aint an economics forum, its a 4-wheeler forum, and regardless of the reasons it still all sucks ballsweat. I just do not see how in the world Bomb cannot recognize how their reputation is being compromised by this.


But, in spite of all that, I am trying to hold faith that a new DS800 or DS450 would be canadian made with Rotax engines, and of the quality we've come to expect from the maker of our prized DS650.

 

One word- "Roostmaster!"

 

They need to take the "DS" off of that and think of something else. How about "HM" for heavy mofoo. Anybody else think of a good one?

I read about this quad in one of the more recent rags. Same as new dvx250 but bomb has the rights to it so cat can't sell in the us. Artic Cat will probably have second thoughts after the Sherman bomb250 miserably fails. I'll bet the majority of the sales this thing makes are from loyalists
